Adrian tagged me into this chain letter of a post<\/a> and Adrain being a friend and long time accessibility comrade I thought it impolite not to carry it on.<\/p>\n I wanted to share knowledge, politics, stupidity, music I like and visual homage’s to some of those I hold dearest.<\/p>\n WordPress as it’s the one I have used mostly for the last 19 years or so and it does what i need it to do.<\/p>\n Yeah, my early forays into blogging where on Blogger I used to share info\/updates about the web accessibility toolbar<\/a> extension for IE.<\/p>\n I also dabbled in the tepid waters of Medium<\/a> but not seriously, mostly to poke at its accessibility and to jot down a few random thoughts.<\/p>\n I also used the now departed codepen blogging platform. It served a purpose for me at the time, unitl it didn’t<\/a>, as for the longest time I had almost exclusively published stuff on the WordPress based TPG(i) blog<\/a>, but wanted to write stuff elsewhere as there were loads of other excellent people writing on there as TPGi grew. Oh and I also wrote for HTML5 Doctor<\/a> (WordPress) during it’s dotage.<\/p>\n Like Adrian I write them in the classic editor in WordPress.<\/p>\n When i have something to say, often I attempt to provide practical, research\/testing based information to counter misinformation published by others and lately to cut through the bukkake<\/em> of AI slop.<\/p>\n It depends, but usually once i have finished an article I publish it. I don’t think about when is the best time to publish to get the most clicks and KLOUT.<\/p>\n That’s easy: i like to write about web accessibility, accessibility APis in browsers, screen reader support for HTML semantics and related stuff.<\/p>\n again, like Adrian I am writing for the future me. And for anyone who wants fact based accessibility implementation information.<\/p>\n I like ’em all to a lesser and greater extent, depending on what i have forgotten at a particular time. Not so short note on aria-label usage \u2013 Big Table Edition<\/a> comes to mind. I am also fond of ALT TAG EMPTINESS<\/a><\/p>\n Nope. It provides what i want\/need just as it is.<\/p>\n i like these people (amongst others) coz they write and do good stuff to make the web a better and more accessible and inclusive place to hang out in.<\/p>\nWhy did you start blogging in the first place?<\/h2>\n
