Adrian tagged me into this chain letter of a post and Adrain being a friend and long time accessibility comrade I thought it impolite not to carry it on.
Why did you start blogging in the first place?
I wanted to share knowledge, politics, stupidity, music I like and visual homage’s to some of those I hold dearest.
What platform are you using to manage your blog and why did you choose it?
WordPress as it’s the one I have used mostly for the last 19 years or so and it does what i need it to do.
Have you blogged on other platforms before?
Yeah, my early forays into blogging where on Blogger I used to share info/updates about the web accessibility toolbar extension for IE.
I also dabbled in the tepid waters of Medium but not seriously, mostly to poke at its accessibility and to jot down a few random thoughts.
I also used the now departed codepen blogging platform. It served a purpose for me at the time, unitl it didn’t, as for the longest time I had almost exclusively published stuff on the WordPress based TPG(i) blog, but wanted to write stuff elsewhere as there were loads of other excellent people writing on there as TPGi grew. Oh and I also wrote for HTML5 Doctor (WordPress) during it’s dotage.
How do you write your posts? For example, in a local editing tool, or in a panel / dashboard that’s part of your blog?
Like Adrian I write them in the classic editor in WordPress.
When do you feel most inspired to write?
When i have something to say, often I attempt to provide practical, research/testing based information to counter misinformation published by others and lately to cut through the bukkake of AI slop.
Do you publish immediately after writing, or do you let it simmer a bit as a draft?
It depends, but usually once i have finished an article I publish it. I don’t think about when is the best time to publish to get the most clicks and KLOUT.
What are you generally interested in writing about?
That’s easy: i like to write about web accessibility, accessibility APis in browsers, screen reader support for HTML semantics and related stuff.
Who are you writing for?
again, like Adrian I am writing for the future me. And for anyone who wants fact based accessibility implementation information.
What’s your favorite post on your blog?
I like ’em all to a lesser and greater extent, depending on what i have forgotten at a particular time. Not so short note on aria-label usage – Big Table Edition comes to mind. I am also fond of ALT TAG EMPTINESS
Any future plans for your blog? Maybe a redesign, a move to another platform, or adding a new feature?
Nope. It provides what i want/need just as it is.
Tag ’em
i like these people (amongst others) coz they write and do good stuff to make the web a better and more accessible and inclusive place to hang out in.

The smell of piss is so strong It smells like decent bacon Kevin's getting footloose on the overspill Under the piss-station Two pints destroyer on the cobbled floors No amount of whatever is gonna chirp the chip up It's "The Final Countdown, " by fuckin' Journey I woke up with shit in my sock outside the Polish off-licence "They don't mind" said the arsehole to the legs You got to be cruel to be kind, shit bank Save it up like Norbert Colon Release the stench of shit grub like a giant toilet kraken The lonely life that is touring I got an armful of decent tunes, mate But it's all so fuckin' boring Tied up in Nottz, with a Z, you cunt Black t-shirts and state toss Nobby's Nuts, the rule of rough cuts A to Z of nothing gets all the shiz We are real, we are looking 20p in the 10p mix Crab eyes, another lonely little DJ with no fuckin' life Weetabix, England, fuckin' shredded wheat, Kelloggs cunts On bleak shiz, hard cock, the green light don't stop The shit homegrown dealers of Berlin begging for lolly And it's beautiful how the privileged still let 'em in Tied up in Nottz, Shit!
